ABOUT
ME
Passionate About Empowering Others
I was born in Australia but have lived and worked in four different countries and travelled to over 30. I love learning about, and interacting with, different cultures. I first ‘fell’ into English teaching in 1993 when I helped a Polish immigrant isolated in an Australian country town. This ignited my passion for teaching English and empowering people with the skills to change their circumstances through language.

After a short course in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) I began teaching conversation classes and ‘English for Academic Purposes’. This was followed by five years teaching English at a university in Donetsk, Ukraine and completing a master’s degree in TESOL.
I moved to the Netherlands in 2007 and spent the next ten years working for a foundation, preparing people to work in different countries with cross-cultural training, language acquisition, team building, conflict resolution and a range of other courses.
In 2018 I decided to return full-time to my ‘first love’ and became a freelance English teacher. Since then, I have taught individuals, small groups, and larger groups in a range of different companies. Each course is adapted to the students’ needs, interests, and context.
